  • Conference & Trade Show - Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel,  Lower Conference Level

    Canadian Special Events is proud to announce Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel as the official HOST of CSE Live 2018 and host hotel for the 21st Annual Canadian Event Industry Awards Gala.


    The conference runs March 19-20 and the Trade Show (called the IMAGINARIUM) is open ONLY on March 20th.


    Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel offers Valet Parking at a rate of $50.00 CAD with unlimited in and out privileges. Availability is limited to 200 spots which are distributed on a first come, first served with a maximum of 20 oversized vehicles.


    Local Downtown Toronto Pay Parking Lots: Within close proximity of the hotel, there are several pay-lots that offer parking options from the half hour - overnight.

  • CSE Live Opening Night. Good Old Fashioned Kitchen Party

    6:00 pm - 10:00 p.m.

    Hosted each year by a prestigious Toronto venue and guest produced by a team of leading local planners, designers and caterers, this event has become a must-attend during CSE Live. This year’s event – “A Good Old Fashioned Kitchen Party” features a casual and relaxed vibe with all sorts of creative of POP up innovation and unexpected experiences around every corner.


    The Reader's Choice Awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at this event. Dress is casual. Shuttles will be available from the Sheraton to the venue; pre booking of a shuttle seat is required and available at the registration desk on March 19 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm on a first come first served basis.

  • Canadian Event Industry Awards Gala

    The CEIA Gala is the most prestigious event of the year for Canadian event professionals and their clients. The event features a 2.5 hour awards show with celebrated talent and performances, celebrity presenters and a whole lot of excitement as the best in the industry are crowned for another year in epic successes. Tickets are $150 each or $1450 for a table of ten. VIP tables are available as well. This event sells ourtearly. Dress is cocktail attire.
    Shuttles will be provided for this event from the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. 
    One MUST pre-book the shuttle to this event when you register.

  • How do I register?

    Click on any pink Register button found at the top or bottom of every page to take you to the registration page where you can buy a number of different passes to CSE Live.


    NOTE: Tickets to the Opening Night Event are very limited due to venue capacity so please register early.

  • I only want to attend one day of the conference, is that possible?

    Yes, one-day conference registration is available for each day of the event. Please note that your registration is valid only for sessions and events on that day and badges will be actively checked throughout the conference to ensure that participants have registered properly.

  • What is the IMAGINARIUM? And when will it be open?

    The IMAGINARIUM is our version of a trade show and turned it into an experiential event so that most of the exhibits are not static but they are interactive with BIG ideas to discover, food and drink to sample, products to try out and all kinds of new experiences you can provide for your event clients. We call it the IMAGINARIUM because its where Imagination Comes to Life. It’s open March 20 from 10:30-5:30 p.m. People planning events are invited to attend.

  • Do I need to Buy a Ticket to the Imaginarium if I Buy a Conference Pass?

    No, if you buy a conference pass it will include a ticket into the Imaginarium.

  • Please Explain Who Can Attend the Trade Show?

    CSE Live is designed to connect people planning events, with our CSE Live Exhibitors. It is not a career fair, student expo or for NON exhibiting suppliers. You CAN attend if you are an independent or corporate event professional or are involved in planning events for your organization where you have to book venues or hire event resources. There is NO cost to attend the Imaginarium if you are a planner.


    HOWEVER: If you are a supplier and you supply goods or services to planners, such as flowers, decor, AV, food, gifts, photos, websites, trophies, signs, competing media, communications... You are considered a SUPPLIER and unfortunately this year we are not open to NON exhibiting suppliers.  Our exhibitors make a large and important investment in CSE Live for the sole purpose of meeting new clients and planners. Its simply unfair to allow those not paying for this right, to come do the same for free. We ask that you respect our decision and not attend unless you are a planner or you paid for a space.     • Anyone who is assigned to plan and event or meeting on behalf of their company, organization or client is invited to attend.



    May attend IF they you volunteering or are part of a PRE Registered tour group. There is a 100 student limit for the entire show so students showing up trying to register with a non registered business name and or a non reserved tour pass will not be granted admission. We understand the value of this event for students and we offer many opportunities to get involved, but walking the floor without a proper pass is not permitted so please register using one of our student options.

  • Do you publish a list of attendees?

    No, we do not publish the list. It is a privacy issue.


  • Are sessions worth CMP and CSEP Points?

    Yes, some sessions are worth CMP and CSEP Points, See the session descriptions for details on which ones.


  • What Food & Beverage is Served at CSE Live?

    Food and beverage (F&B) is offered at some CSE Live events depending on which pass you purchase. VIP Planner Pass holders will have a wristband giving them access to F&B at all events.  For those buying individual tickets, the following events offer F&B.
    MARCH 19: Includes coffee breaks, lunch and snacks.
    MARCH 19: The Opening Night Party offers light appetizers and a cash bar. One Complimentary beverage is included.
    MARCH 20: VIP Planner Pass holders and March 20 Day Pass holders will be given lunch vouchers. Food for purchase will be available in the CSE Refresh Bistro or the food court, right outside the conference space in the PATH.
    MARCH 21:  The Canadian Event Industry Awards Gala  2018 is ticketed event and includes dinner with wine. Other beverages can be purchased.


  • Is Seating Reserved?

    Seating is not assigned for any event except the Awards Gala. Its first come first seated in all meeting rooms and events.


  • What is the Cancellation Policy?

    You may cancel your conference pass in writing before February 19, 2018 and you will receive a 50% refund or a 100% credit for a future event. No other refunds are provided after March 1, 2018. You may transfer your ticket if you can find a replacement guest.

  • How can we become a conference sponsor?

    Sponsorship is an amazing way to generate huge exposure for your brand and really make a BOLD statement at the event.   • What’s the Dress code at the events?

    The conference is Business Casual,  the CEIA Gala is formal.


  • What’s the difference between the CEIA Gala and Reader’s Choice Awards

    Great question. The Readers Choice Awards are for SUPPLIERS who are voted on by their peers and their clients. The award ceremony is informal and takes place during the Opening Night Party. The CEIA Gala is a year-long awards competition and the Gala is where the ceremony takes place. It is like the Oscars of the event industry and the most prestigious night of the year for Canadian planners. It takes place on March 21 in Toronto. Click here for more info.
